UNI ISO 20121:2013 Sustainable events
The UNI EN ISO 20121: 20123 is an international standard that establishes the requirements for the organization of sustainable events, which have a minimum impact on the environment and communities. The sustainability certification can be applied to all types of events, from the sporting event to the musical concert, from a scientific conference at the film festival. UNI ISO 20121: 2013 has important similarities with some characteristic elements of ISO 26000 “Social responsibility” and UNI ISO 14001 certification of environmental management systems. In addition the UNI ISO 20121 also considers the social and economic dimension of the event. The management system of the sustainability of the events in accordance with the standard can be implemented by organizations that operate in the organization of events such as communications agencies, fairs, convention centers, theaters, cinemas, but also by companies wishing to manage their corporate events the sustainable way.
